For a long time oikos Brussels has been organising "responsible breakfasts". The project is very successful and always attended by many students.

This semester oikos Brussels again organised a responsible breakfast at their university in collaboration with an association of teachers. Students were invited to have a breakfast made up of fair trade, organic and local products. In order to show the differences between a "normal" daily breakfast and the responsible one posters with explanations were complementing the event.

 

Other projects by oikos Brussels included:

 

- Speech by Hadelin de Beer de Laer, Advisor of the oikos Brussels chapter, about Economics and Sustainable Development

 

- Visiting an exhibition about sustainable development inviting students from the whole university to join

 

- Raising awareness of students about Sustainability by having slides with images and statements about the topic on every university computer
