Previously I was associated (lectures, workshops, etc.) with SCO, the pre-decessor of oikos SG, and welcomed the invitation to join oikos a few years later. I very much valued the commitment of the students to make the needed bridge between economy and ecology, and that increasingly in connection with the issue of Sustainability.
Helping to see things in a developmental, historical perspective during the time since the initiation of the discussion of Sustainability (early 1970s). Where needed or relevant, I can provide background information respective the implications and consequences for the environment, seen from a natural science perspective. I can link oikos to others working on Sustainability issues.
I can link oikos perhaps less to networks, than to key individuals working on Sustainability (in Europe and international).
There are many topics I find exciting. However the aim, and commitment in general of oikos I find exciting in itself. And this is what drew me to oikos.
